In loving memory of
LILA M. FENISON
July 16,1931 – April 25 2025

Lila Mae Fenison went to be with our Lord on April 25, 2025, at Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, Oregon. She is survived by her sons, Les Fenison, Elden Fenison, and Brad Fenison; her daughters-in-law, Shawna Fenison and Wendy Fenison; her two grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Nicole Fenison and Ashley and Tim Ainley; and her eight great-grandchildren, Lamaya and Cambria Ainley, Charlie and Theodore Fenison, Gideon Ainley, Elliot and Curtis Fenison, and Boaz Ainley.
Lila was born on July 16, 1931 in Portland, Oregon to Clifford and Frances Cullen. She and her parents lived in Beaverton, Oregon, on Farmington Road. Lila committed her life to Jesus at a young age and became a faithful follower of Christ!
After graduating from Beaverton High School, Lila attended Cascade College where she met her husband Curtis P. Fenison. The two were married on May 16, 1952. Curt passed away on May 1, 2017, just a few weeks shy of their 65th wedding anniversary.
Lila was a loving wife and mother and was completely devoted to Jesus and her family. From a young age, she began teaching Sunday school as well as Vacation Bible School every summer. She also served faithfully alongside Curt as they ministered to people in nursing homes and care facilities. The impact of her faithful service in furthering the Kingdom of God is hard to fathom. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

My mother is the only person that has ever loved me since I was conceived. She always loved me unconditionally for my entire life until she passed. She was always the first person I would call anytime an event happened in my life or whenever I just wanted someone to talk to. Her passing was a major event in my life and now I find myself regularly reaching for my phone to call her and then realize, she can’t answer anymore.
She will be missed for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to see her again in Heaven. I am so happy she is not suffering anymore and has been reunited with her husband and Jesus. Nothing could make her happier than that.
Mrs. Lila is a precious lady who is now with our Lord in Heaven. Her kind spirit served as a model of love to our son, Luke, and to Randy and me. We will miss her dearly, but rejoice in knowing she is with her beloved Lord and Savior.
Prayers for peace and comfort to the family and for those who mourn her passing during this time.

My mom was my hero. She was a great mom to the three of us boys, faithfully bringing us up in the way of the Lord right alongside our dad. She and our father Curtis also served as wonderful role models for what a healthy marriage looks like. It is a part of their legacy, handed down to my wife and I who have been married 43 years and to our two kids as well. I am believing in faith that legacy will be passed to our eight grandchildren as they are all being brought up in the way of the Lord.
She was also a prayer warrior to the end. I loved that and will miss it greatly. Even as her short-term memory began to fade in her 90s, she remained a faithful prayer warrior, and I brought things to her regularly.
While I already miss her and will have times of grieving our loss, I am overwhelmed with the thought of the joy she is undoubtedly experiencing right now. No more pain. No more suffering. No more sorrow. She is with her Savior. Praise the Lord! He is a merciful and loving God.
Psalm 116:15
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
